Roevin Engineering is delighted to be working in partnership with our client in sourcing an Area Sales Manager to work in the Advanced Materials division to cover Birmingham/Bristol area.

The ideal candidate will have solid engineering knowledge who wishes to break into a sales role. Full training and support will be provided all the way to ensure success. You will also be attending an 'Academy Week' at the company HO so would need to have availability for this when required.

Salary: £27,000 basic rising to £30,000 on successful completion of 6 month probation
Bonus: Up to 10% of salary based on KPI's which will be agreed
Commission: Between 1% - 3% of machine/s sale price based on a sliding scale


Main experience and requirements for this position

-Ex-technician/shop floor experience
-Solid engineering experience (CNC/heavy duty machinery preferred)
-Previous sales experience is not required as full training given
-Confident and good conversationalist
-Hungry to succeed and grow your earnings
-Available to start by mid-January (ideally)
-Available to attend an Academy Week early February 2019 abroad.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Responsible for closing opportunities through price, terms, delivery, specifications and solution fit negotiation.
-Conduct daily checks ensuring awareness of your KPI's as laid down by the commercial manager and as shown in the CRM, monitoring your territory coverage and opportunity pipeline.
-Ensuring that sales targets are achieved or surpassed. Allowing for the necessary corrective actions to be taken when required. While reviewing your own performance
-Demonstrate and maintain an up to date knowledge of the market in your area. Including identifying trends and creating action plans to act on them. As well as reporting these back to management.
-Data maintenance of Salesforce ensuring metrics, sales opportunities and forecasts are up to date. Manage and control an active diary showing forward planning in Salesforce.
-Take part in the rolling forecast of opportunities on monthly basis.
-Take part in regular training to enhance your technical knowledge of the products, and sales techniques.
-When requested, represent the organisation at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations.
-Create, develop and maintain relationships with potential and existing customers.
-Actively explore existing and potential new markets.
-Work with only general supervision within established guidelines.
-Actively network with complimentary partners to gain more business.
