Assembly and Test Technicians
Location: Wolverhampton
Salary: £32667 p.a.
Hours: Day shift ( flexible approach )
Role: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract

We are currently recruiting for apprentice trained, Aerospace experienced, Assembly and Test Technicians to carry out Assembly and Test tasks on Valves, Manifolds and Actuators and possess the skill to progress kit of parts through to final inspection in accordance with approved documentation, to join the team at our clients facility based in Wolverhampton.

Our client is focused on the customer and for them this means designing complex mechanical products that are often bespoke and high profile. Their Engineers work to exceptionally close tolerances, an essential requirement of the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:
*Cleaning new and aftermarket parts/assemblies ready for assembly
*Strip & re-build valves/manifolds for service
*Strip & re-build reworks for rectification
*Flow matching operations as applicable
*Wirelocking/Labeling/Finishing activities
*Set-up valves manifolds and actuators on manual and computerised test stands from set-up to final test.
*Participate in all activities such as kaizen and 5S in the interest of continual improvement.
*Assist all A&T, Engineering and external Depts. When necessary.
*Responsible for inspection of own work in line with Quality Audit
*Work from approved documentation to include engineering drawings, worksheets, and other written instruction.

Key Expertise:
*A recognised engineering apprenticeship
*Previous experience of engineering / manufacturing role ideally within aerospace industry
*Flexible approach to shift patterns when requested
*Expected to work overtime when requested
*Prepared to work in any A&T area when requested
*Attention to detail & accuracy, and process improvement techniques
*Using the relevant inspection techniques / equipment to achieve drawing tolerance
