Role: Buyer (Non Product)
Function: Supply Chain
Duration: 6 Months
Hourly Rate: Negotiable
Location: Wolverhampton

Required Experience:
*SAP system experience useful
*Non product supply chain experience in manufacturing industry including negotiation, supplier management, leadtime management, working with internal stakeholders
*Good communication skills, comfortable communicating at various levels with suppliers and internal stakeholders
*Excellent organisational skills and ability to build relationships
*Attention to detail
*Ability to work under pressure
*Driven to complete tasks
*Commercial acumen expected

Key Responsibilities:
*Support the business to resolve escalated issues with suppliers.
*Co-ordinate expediting of suppliers for machinery and equipment, shortages, providing quotations etc. to ensure on time delivery
*Manage plant consumables supplier activities eg spend control, metrics and cost reduction initiatives
*Working with Commodity team to ensure new small spend work goes to existing and preferred suppliers.
*Collate delivery notes from across the site for booking in to the ordering system.
*Join hard services integration team to manage PO requests, track savings and support ongoing performance management.
*Invoice only workflow management - work with Finance to ensure resolution
*Resolve open billing queries with suppliers
*Freight management - help organising urgent shipments and tracking for POs.
*Management of Drawdown orders for machine repair etc..
*Ensure NDAs in place with all suppliers
*Negotiate non contracted costs and payment terms to drive best commercial position
*Have a thorough understanding of the relevant Policies, and ensure compliance including contracts.
*Use ACE tools and have a continuous improvement mindset to improve the processes.
*Identify opportunities to remove unnecessary spend or suggest alternatives.
*Support Commodity Managers as needed.

*From time to time the successful candidate may be required by the Company to perform other tasks, which are not included in the above description, but are within the capabilities of the individual and where necessary training will be given.

Typical Educational Requirements:
*HND/Degree level or relevant level of experience with suitable qualifications eg CIPS
*Prepared to study for CIPS or working towards
