My client, an industry leading aerospace outfit, are currently searching for a CNC Machine Operator to join their team in Banbury on a 6 month contract.

As a CNC Machine Operator reporting to the machine shop team leader you will be responsible for ensuring that daily production is satisfied to meet customer demand.

In this role your daily responsibilities will be to:
*Ensure you are working to machining the priority list
*Ensure pre-shift checks are done daily.
*Ensure the correct PPE is available and being used.
*Monitor process cycle times and support where needed.
*Ensure TPM is complete up to date.
*Ensure 5S condition is maintained.
*Inform Team leader if overtime is required to complete daily tasks.
*Support overtime if required.
*Attend daily team stand-up meeting

Key responsibilities
*Adhere to processes contained within the standard operating procedure (SOP)
*Machining of parts to high quality specifications
*Support production by operating CNC machinery under instruction
*Ensure all equipment and machinery is used in the correct, safest and efficient way
*To do whatever tasks required in order to contribute to the teams overall objectives

Job holder requirements:
*Experience in operating CNC Machinery typically Lathes and machining centres
*Knowledge of metrology, first principles and measuring equipment
*Ability to work to standards and specific instructions
*PC literate
*Flexible and willing to learn new skills
*Ability to understand and to follow the process from beginning to end
*Must be a team player
