CNC Precision Grinder
Primary Location: United Kingdom-Gloucestershire-Tewkesbury
Initial contract length : 6 months
Rate: Up to £20/ hr Ltd

Our client who is a global Aerospace manufacturer is looking for a skilled machinist who can carry out a specific cell process, being able to carry out all the inspection criteria involved within that process, and to Set and operate External and Internal CNC Shigiya grinders and Manual RM250 Studer Grinders.

Key Responsibilities:
1.All Macro programs are produced by the operator.
2.Work to complex engineering drawings, process specifications and stage drawings
3.Inspect own work by use of height checks, air gauging, comparators and Keyence Vision systems.
4.Multi machine working of similar machining centres.
5.Experience with exotic materials i.e Stainless steels, chromium, Nitrided and case hardened materials.
6.Ideally apprentice trained
7.Ability to work using own initiative.

Principal Accountabilities:
1.Production of high quality complex aerospace components
2.Accurately records required data on relevant documentation.
3.Responsible for inspection of own work in line with Quality Audit procedure.
4.Work in and maintain a clean work environment.
5.Adopts lean principles in line with Moog principles.
6.Standard Time achievement.
7.Quality - to ensure all parts conform to relevant quality standard.
8.Works in a safe environment and in a safe manner.
9.Performs basic preventative maintenance activities on machinery in line with company policy.
10.Flexible positive approach to shift patterns when requested.
11.Expected to work overtime when requested.
12.Expected to work in any area of manufacturing that fits skill level.

Desirable Qualities:
1.Reasonable standard of secondary education or equivalent.
2.A recognised engineering apprenticeship.
3.Previous experience of engineering / manufacturing role ideally within aerospace.
4.Able to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
5.Able to adopt and fit in with Moog philosophy / culture / values / honesty / trust.
6.Good timekeeping and attendance record in line with company policy.
7.Has a positive attitude to Lean manufacturing tools and techniques including 5S.
