Lead Buyer - Non Product

Required Experience:
*SAP (or similar) system experience essential
*Minimum 12 months non product supply chain experience including negotiation, supplier management
*Good communication skills, comfortable communicating at various levels with suppliers and internal stakeholders
*Excellent organisational skills and ability to build relationships
*Attention to detail
*Ability to work under pressure
*Commercial acumen expected
*Management experience - this position will be managing a small team

Key Responsibilities:
*Sets day-to-day operational objectives for team, providing day-to-day work direction, focused on maintaining steady workflow and productivity and resolving Billing Query and Invoice issues.
*Negotiate non contracted costs and payment terms to drive best commercial position
*Launch new requisitioning process for Wolverhampton and Banbury
*Weekly and monthly reporting inclusive of tracking, billing queries and turnbacks.
*Provide support to internal customers to help them understand the ordering & approval process, how to get it right first time and how to get best value from suppliers.
*Have a thorough understanding of the relevant company Policies, and ensure compliance including supplier NDA's, CPM17 and contracts.
*Use ACE tools and have a continuous improvement mindset to improve the processes.
*Identify opportunities to remove unnecessary spend or suggest alternatives.
*Support the business to resolve escalated issues with suppliers.
*Support Commodity Managers as needed.

Typical Educational Requirements:
*5 GCSEs or equivalent
*Prepared to study for CIPS or working towards
