We are working exclusively with our client based in Grangemouth for an experienced Logistics Coordinator.

The suitable candidate will have relevant logistics and SAP experience and have a pleasant and assertive manner.

The purpose of the role will be to ensure the Organisation of storage and distribution of goods ensuring that the right products are delivered to the right location on the time and at the best value to the company.

The Key responsibilities are:

Liaising with contracted freight forwarders, warehouses and sales offices to ensure export sales are despatched in accordance with Customer Services requirements.
Ensuring the timely request to the competent unit for creation and change in master date (packages, itineraries, locations etc.)
Liaising with warehouses and technical service to check finished product availability of products communicating to Customer Services any anomalies verified with the relevant Production Units.
Monitoring Outline Agreements ensuring Purchase Orders are raised as required, relating to relevant warehouse, logistic and packaging contracts.
Ensuring that new Purchase Requisitions are raised as required.
Liaising with parent company with respect to transport contracts also ensuring that listed freight fares and costs are well managed in company's management systems.
Processing the Service Entries for warehouse, logistic and packaging services received in an accurate and timely manner.
Supporting the Manager in preparing annual logistics budget taking into account the annual sales forecast, transport flows by road and sea containers, the requirements for transport warehousing services and the costs for the distribution.
Following up customer complaints, putting in place corrective actions to prevent recurrence and reporting such activities within Company IT systems.
Analysing the inventory and the delivery/return schedules of metal and wood crates communicating as needed with the supplier to ensure accurate billing.
Participating in the preparation of the annual logistics budget.
Providing information, feedback, reporting relating to transport, and warehouse services.

Skills:

Direct working experience within logistics and/or supply chain department
Windows, Office, working experience of SAP.
Excellent communicator across all levels
Ability to work well under pressure
Ability to make critical decisions
Advanced Professional Education at HND/ Tech Diploma or equivalent desireable.
Experience in a very similar role
Direct work experience in Logistics or Supply Chain Department.
