On behalf of our client we are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Scheduling Engineer to join their organisation based South of Manchester.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Scheduling Engineer and Manufacturing Manager you will have gained experience ideally within a engineering environment - experience of scheduling CNC machining operations is highly desirable.

Role Requirements

The Scheduling Engineer will be responsible for the creation and management of the manufacturing schedules on a range of turning / milling CNC machine tools and ancillary operations e.g. Fitting & NDT. This position will work in collaboration with input from Project Management and the Manufacturing Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities
Utilise the EFACS Business system to develop and maintain manufacturing schedules for all operations related to project execution.
Ensure all calendars, resources and shift availability is up to date to facilitate credibility of the schedules generated.
Work closely with Project Managers and Supervisors to establish develop workable schedules that ultimately best meet the required customer due dates.
Ensure that each work centre is effectively loaded and has accurate and clearly indicated priorities based on Project demand.
Identify and report capacity constraints that will compromise on time delivery and flow through the workshop.
Liaise closely with the Project Managers and Supervisors to identify solutions to ease scheduling bottlenecks.
When required, provide feedback to the Sales Department to enable quotations to be as accurate as they can be in terms of capacity and lead time before submission to the Customer.


Experience of scheduling CNC machining operations and outside services desirable but not essential.
Experience of using and working within an ERP/MRP System environment.
Responsiveness and ability to work to tight deadlines/schedules.
Be able to work independently under pressure.
Fully IT proficient in typically used applications to both manage information and present to the business and customers.

Excellent attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work effectively with peers.
Self-starter, confident with a positive 'can do' attitude and work ethic
Comfortable in a problem solving and decision-making environment
