Treasury Analyst
Location: Shirley
Initial contract length: 12 months (maternity cover)
Salary: Circa £30K p.a. pro rata

Our client, who is one of the worlds leading Aerospace companies, is looking for a dynamic Treasury Analyst who is a self starter, and used to operating in a complex and fast moving environment. You will be performing bank reconciliations and cashbooks on a daily basis as a priority, and further financial requirements as needed. Working in a hands on role you must have the ability to support and deliver results, and communicate effectively at all levels and across all business functions.
The successful candidates will support the other teams members within the Treasury Centre. Tasks will be varied but will include:
* Prepare cashbooks timely and accurately, including comprehensive data validation.
* Prepare bank reconciliations timely and accurately, ensure reconciling items cleared promptly.
* Prepare cash forecasts and monitor cash position for sites during month.
* Ensure surplus cash is made available to the Treasury Centre for intercompany lending program or placed on deposit within the cash pooling program.
* Undertake month end close process including but not limited to cashpool interest, IHC/ILR, FX and ensure intra/intercompany account balances are confirmed and reconciled monthly.
* Complete all the required control checks as part of the month-end closing process and ensure Treasury entities are closed, reconciled and promoted in line with appropriate deadlines.
* Complete quarterly reporting requirements (e.g. BAR & CADET). Validate bank universe and minimize number of open accounts.
* Establish/maintain POBO/ROBO arrangements (Pay on behalf of/ Receive on behalf of).
* Be an effective liaison with the banks, the sites Treasury departments.
* Support sites with hedging and swaps to limit FX exposure.
* Support credit request/facility set-up and maintenance process.
* Support internal Treasurer(s) e.g. cash pooling maintenance, loan account calculations and ongoing roll-forwards/maintenance.
* Support Balance Sheet Reconciliation (ARMs) process, providing necessary information on time.
* Achieve KPI levels committed in the SLAs with sites and report them on a monthly basis.
* Ensure appropriate controls are in place, perform gap assessment and support SOX testing, maintain accurate disbursements checklists for area of responsibility, support DD audit etc.

Education and experience:
* Certified Treasurer/Qualified Accountant or in progress. Prior experience an advantage.
* Effective organizational skills to ensure key deliverables are produced accurately and in time.
* Proactive approach and ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative are essential.
* Experience with SAP is required.
* Experience of Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel - VLOOKUP & Pivots tables, Visio, Powerpoint).
* Experience with the following would be advantageous :
o eSOX, ACE, e-banking systems, BCM (Bank Communication Manager in SAP), Swiftnet.
o Treasury tools: Netting, FXR, ILR, Cadet, BAR.
* French, German or Italian language speaker preferred, but not required.
